Cleverly designed to keep up to four glasses safe from scratches and skirmishes in transit, this eminently practical accessory is made exclusively for Rigby by South Africa’s Els & Co., which is known not only for its premium quality handmade leather goods, but also for its policy of employing and empowering women of the Xhosa tribe.
With a rich, durable colour thanks to the vegetable-tanning and hand-dye processes used on the leather, the glass carrier also benefits from a classic hard-wearing finish, which is achieved through rubbing with an exclusive beeswax mixture. All its fittings are made from solid brass, meaning that rust will not be a problem and ensuring that the carrier will remain useful and stylish for many years – and expeditions – to come.
The carrier is supplied with four Bohemian crystal glasses, which are fixed in place in transit via partitions in both the lid and base. Straps made from 100% cotton canvas make it easy to carry when on foot.
