London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. has announced the latest limited edition of its popular Highland Stalker bolt-action rifle. Benefitting from the same premium craftsmanship and materials as its stablemates, the ‘Adventurer’ boasts a take-down action, making it the perfect choice for even the most luggage-limited of expeditions. Only 12 will be made.

With ‘Adventurer’ engraved on the rear scope ring and ‘John Rigby & Co.’ on the front ring, each rifle will also have its serial number inlaid in gold on the trigger guard and ‘X of 12’ on the magazine floor plate. Their deluxe Turkish walnut stocks will be inlaid with silver ovals, will have traditional rounded grips with hand-finished chequering and a Rigby oil finish, and will measure 14 ½ inches at the centre, including a black leather covered recoil pad. Chambered in .30-06 and with a plasma-nitride finished 22-inch barrel, the ‘Adventurer’ will feature a standard front foresight with a removable protector hood, a fixed 65-yard rear sight, and two folding leaf sights regulated to 150 and 250 yards. Each rifle comes with a limited edition take-down canvas case and cleaning accessories.

Marc Newton, Rigby’s managing director, said: “Adventures come in many shapes and sizes and they aren’t always predictable. This special edition Highland Stalker is designed to be flexible enough to fit in with whatever circumstances throw at you, without compromising on quality or looks.”
