London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. has launched a new service within their growing art department to immortalise your trusty hunting companion through pencil portrait commissions.

Just like every piece of Rigby Art to leave the Pensbury Place workshop, it will be entered into the company’s historic ledgers and preserved for generations to come. Additionally, each completed commission will be stamped and hand-signed by in-house artist, Geoffrey Lignon.

With a maximum of two commissions taken per month, to complete a portrait Geoffrey requires a full focus, high resolution image of the dog, preferably taken outdoors or in a studio setting, which is well lit to see contrast and pick out detail.

Geoffrey commented: “As someone passionate about animals, I understand the special bond between master and dog. Given their loyalty, companionship and willing nature to please, it can be heartbreaking to lose them, especially as their lives are so short. Paying homage to this special relationship, I’ve launched a new service within Rigby Art to capture their essence and preserve their memory.”

RRP: £500 for single portrait (9×12”) // £750 for double portrait (14×17”), plus P&P.
