“The pearl of Sumatra” Original and fine art prints

Sumatran tiger framed original (1 of 1) and fine art prints (1 of 25)

“The pearl of Sumatra has a fate as dark as its stripes,” says Rigby artist and engraver, Geoffrey Lignon. “Critically facing extinction, this sub-species of tiger found in the Sunda Islands, where the Javan and Bali tigers are now extinct, is doomed by irresponsible human expansion, poaching, and a lack of genetic variety. In a few years, possibly decades, the beauty of these creatures will only be witnessed through windows of the past. Sumatran tigers are one of the most beautiful animals on the planet and should be spared from human abuse and a lack of humility before we lose them forever.”

Measuring 1,189 x 280 mm it is available to purchase as a framed original or limited edition Fotospeed HWS 225gsm print. The prints feature a 2 mm white border on each side, with a 7 mm white border at the bottom, where the drawing is relief stamped with Rigby’s iconic ‘double R’ logo and personally signed and numbered by the artist.

The original artwork comes framed in a luxurious navy wood and resin frame, complimented by enhancing gold lines on the inner and outer edges of the frame.
