London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. is delighted to unveil its new Dagga Boy Knife, which is not only sharp on design but made to be used. An indispensable tool for hunters, it is designed to be a trusty companion in the field for many years to come.
The knife features a four-and-quarter-inch blade, engraved with the Rigby logo. It is crafted from premium Austrian N690 stainless steel, heat-treated and hardened to 58-59 Rockwell for exceptional durability and edge retention. This ensures the knife maintains its sharpness even under demanding field conditions.
Each knife is handcrafted in South Africa by renowned Zimbabwean-born scrimshaw artist and knife maker Nkosi Jubane, who boasts over 34 years’ experience in scrimshaw art. Nkosi’s skill has developed over time and is arguably Africa’s preeminent big game scrimshaw artist. His expertise is evident in the knife’s African game bone handle, which features an intricately carved image of an old dagga boy buffalo with a broken horn and worn-down tip, making the knife as tough as it looks.
The Dagga Boy Knife comes with a matching vegetable-tanned leather sheath, embossed with Rigby’s iconic ‘double R’ logo. The sheath features a belt loop for easy accessibility in the field.
