“Roe Deer Summer” Original and fine art prints

Wildlife artist Stéphanie Latour presents “Roe Deer Summer”, a captivating depiction of the prince of our forests, created with remarkable attention to detail.

Through this piece, which required over 80 hours of work, she aimed to represent the roe deer in all its splendour, under the blazing summer sun, highlighting its vivid reddish coat, its grace, and its unwavering confidence. The artwork gives the viewer the sensation of being up close to the animal, as if witnessing the fleeting appearance of a vision.

Using the soft pastel technique, she sought to faithfully reproduce the fur, the transparency of the eye, the appearance and texture of its magnificent antlers, as well as the damp roughness of the nose, while seamlessly blending out any visible pastel strokes on the surface
