Rigby and Leica join forces with
West London Shooting School to launch new rifle range

London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. and German optics brand Leica have partnered with West London Shooting School as their exclusive rifle and sport optics suppliers for their redeveloped rifle range.

This month West London Shooting School will open its doors to their state-of-the-art rifle range, featuring a five-lane 100m range with running boar set up, together with an adjacent two-lane 200m range. Adding a little luxury and protection from the elements, shooters will benefit from shooting huts which are fully covered for prone, seated and stick shooting.

The operation has been officially named The John Rigby & Co. Rifle Range at West London Shooting School. Rigby rifles such as the renowned Big Game rifle and the Highland Stalker will be supplied for use. Rigby clothing and accessories will also be for sale in the West London Gun Room.

Rigby is also proud to announce the unveiling of The John Rigby & Co. Room at West London Shooting School, a grand reception area in the school’s dining facilities where guests can meet to discuss their shooting, enjoy private product viewings and sip a dram of Rigby’s signature 18-year old whisky which will be for sale through the restaurant.

Leica is thrilled to be sponsoring The Leica Running Boar Range at West London Shooting School. Leading Leica products such as their Magnus riflescopes and Geovid HD-B rangefinding binoculars will be on hand for guests’ use.

Marc Newton, Rigby’s managing director, said: “Rigby is delighted to be the chosen rifle partner for The John Rigby & Co. Rifle Range at West London Shooting School. The relationship between Rigby and West London goes back almost 100 years and it is only fitting we embark on this project together. We are looking forward to having a London-based arena of a similar high standard where we can celebrate the sport with our clients.”

Jason Heward, managing director of Leica UK, added: “Leica is very excited to be working with West London Shooting School on their new range. Our customers now have a first class venue in London where they can see what they can achieve with our optics.”

Roddy Richmond-Watson, Director of West London Shooting School said: “Whilst we have been carrying out extensive relandscaping at the shooting school to further enhance the the noise bunding it seemed sensible to improve the rifle range along with our other shooting facilities to meet the growing demand for rifle shooting in general and low land stalking in particular and are very excited to add the Running Boar within the range!
We are delighted to be building on our long association with John Rigby & Co. and welcome well known precision optics brand Leica. The range will be bookable by appointment with an instructor or range safety officer depending on requirement & experience level, details to follow.”
