London gunmaker John Rigby and Co. has won Best Wesbite catergory at the 2017 Time Inc. Shooting Industry Awards held at Mercure Brandon Hall Hotel in Coventry, on Thursday 11 May.
The prestigious annual awards recognise the UK shooting industry’s achievements and innovations throughout the previous year. Entries to the ‘Best Website’ award were assessed on navigation, design, usefulness and quality of content.
Time Inc.’s Digital Editor Charlotte Peters judged the award. She commented: “Rigby’s website was the clear winner – it has all-round visual appeal and useability. Plus it features excellent photography and well written content. The easy-to-navigate website is also optimized for mobile and tablet devices which results in a great user experience.”
Launched last year, Rigby’s website features a sophisticated gun configurator tool that enables visitors to explore the full range of options available and design a Rigby rifle to suit their own personal preferences. Visitors can also stay abreast of the latest news, discover more about the team behind the cult brand, locate local dealers, and download a copy of the latest Rigby brochure. Plus the ‘Shikar Store’ ecommerce area means visitors can buy Rigby-branded clothing and shooting accessories online.
